Bec's Story
Hello!
I’m Bec Burrell, a mother of two, an educator, a facilitator, and a woman forever changed by matrescence.
Becoming a mother rocked me. And to tell you the truth, it still does.
Not just in the sleepless nights, the leaking boobs, or the tantrums, both mine and theirs. Those things were kind of expected.
What really shook me was the silent, ongoing tug of war between:
- Who I used to be, and was trying to get back to, and
- Figuring out how to be a mum, while everyone else just seemed to focus on the baby.
That’s why I created Discover Matrescence. To name what has been invisible, honour what's been unspoken, and support mums like you.
It's a place where you have full permission and guidance to create being a mother your way, sprinkled with the compassion, support, and community you deserve.
You don’t need to shrink to fit a version of yourself you have outgrown.
You are allowed to desire more — more clarity, more connection, and more guidance to discover who you are becoming.
